Javea is blessed with the cool breezes in the summer from the Mediterranean sea and those same breezes keep Javea warm in the winter.
For a number of years there has been a new era of interest from buyers of many nationalities, which is influencing the property prices in Javea, Promoters and developers have realised the full potential of the property market in Javea and prices are set to continue climbing. New developments of luxury apartment complexes are being promoted by the constructors, which can be bought “off-plan” in Javea and before they have been constructed, to take advantage of promotional prices.
The Arenal in Javea is the most visited part of the town by tourists in the summer months, and it has benefited from the infrastructure of new roads, street lights and underground utility services. Many new luxury apartments have been constructed between the Arenal sandy beach and Javea port. Prices are gradually rising, however the apartments in Javea are all selling. The developers are aware of the trend of the purchasers´ needs in Javea and they are promoting location, quality and price, in that order.
I remember back to 1995, talking with a Javea estate agent. He was telling me that the Javea town hall was accepting building applications for over 2000 apartments in the next 5 years. Where will the buyers come from, he asked? Where is all money going to come from? Where will we all park? Apart from the last question, buyers have arrived, purchased, sold, reformed and resold. That was some years ago, has anything changed? The weather? No. The location? No. The prices? A big YES! If you invest in buying a property in Javea / Xabia, historically prices are continuing to rise, even since our first visit in 1987 when we were searching for our holiday home. Javea / Xabia has obviously changed, but in our opinion it has improved with time and it is even better now in 2023 than it was during our first visit in 1987!
